The comparison behind your result

The committed OpenPowerlifting snapshot contains each recorded lifter name's best successful Raw bench, squat and deadlift, with bodyweight recorded at that best performance. The calculator uses the selected competition sex category and bodyweight bracket, then interpolates between the published 5th, 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th, 95th and 99th percentiles. Rounded lift values and interpolation make this an approximate placement.

A multi-rep set first becomes an estimated max using the average of Epley, Brzycki and Lombardi. One completed rep uses the weight itself. Reps above 10 are less dependable. The dataset includes tested and untested competitions; it is not a natural-lifter ranking. No age correction is applied.

Frequently asked questions

Does the percentile compare me with everyone?

No. It compares your lift with Raw competition lifters in one sex and bodyweight bracket. Competition participation is strongly self-selected.

What does below 5th or above 99th mean?

Your lift is outside the published quantile grid. The tool reports a bound instead of pretending to know a more precise percentile.

Why does my placement change at a bodyweight boundary?

The published data uses discrete brackets. Crossing a boundary changes the comparison group. It does not mean your strength changed abruptly.
